The “LOLA – Tool Factory” in Zubin Potok, which had been out of operation for many years, is back in production today. Thanks to investments by the company “Electro Plus”, the factory now produces domestically made transformers under the ENERKOS TRAFO brand, giving new life to an important part of the industry's history.

The Privatization Agency of Kosovo made this step possible by making available for use the facility, which is socially owned and administered by PAK, to the company Electro Plus for the development of its business activity, where, in addition to production, testing and certification of the transformers will also be carried out using advanced technology.

The official opening marking the start of transformer production was attended by representatives of state and local institutions, as well as by the Chairman of PAK's Board of Directors, Mr. Hekuran Nikçi, who, on behalf of the Board of Directors of the Privatization Agency of Kosovo, congratulated the company Electro Plus for the investment and for its vision to develop this production capacity. He said this is proof of how an asset is turned into value. “This is a concrete example of what we at PAK believe the result of our work should be: not merely the administration of assets, but the activation of their economic potential. Because a closed asset creates no jobs. An unused facility generates no development.”

“Electro Plus” had previously carried out its activity in Vushtrri, with a smaller capacity. At the new location, 23 workers have been employed, with the number set to increase to 45 workers in the coming days, and in addition to production, testing and certification of the transformers will also be carried out using advanced technology.

The Privatization Agency of Kosovo, as an institution established by the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo that operates throughout the entire territory of the country, will continue to carry out its mandate with responsibility, transparency and a clear focus on increasing the value of assets and creating the conditions for their sustainable development.
